**Celebrate Simchat Torah with Music, Dance, and Stories!**

OCTOBER 8TH

Join us on Sunday, October 8th, at 10am at Hebrew Congregation of Somers for a heartfelt Simchat Torah celebration led by Rabbi Ben Newman. Engage in soulful melodies, participate in the timeless circle dances with the Torah, and find deeper connection through spiritual tales. This is not just a celebration, but an affirmation of the spiritual power of community. In the shared rhythms and reflections, we experience the unity and strength of our collective spirit. Whether you’re a familiar face or joining us for the first time, you’re warmly welcomed. Together, we’ll create a day of significance and joy.

OCTOBER 15TH

Continuing our Celebration of Simchat Torah, we welcome the family that Hebrew Congregation of Somers has been helping these past few months to adapt to life in America.

There will be a bagel brunch and Afghan food, dancing and celebration!

About Our Congregation

We are lucky to be part of a living tradition that evolves along with our changing times. At HCS we lean Reconstructionist, and encourage living a mitzvah-centered life over a self-centered one. With a spirit of joy, music, and creativity we bring more light, more love, more healing and more justice to the world.

We celebrate diversity in our community and embrace people of all races, gender expressions and sexual identifications. All members of multi-faith families will find warmth and belonging at HCS. We welcome the wide spectrum of beliefs that exist among us, uplifting our differences along with our points of connection.
