Northern Westchester's Reconstructionist Synagogue and Temple, located in Somers. We welcome interfaith families from Westchester and Putnam and provide progressive Hebrew and religious school education for children and adults. Our members have varied backgrounds from the Reconstructionist, Reform,  Conservative, Orthodox, Cultural and non-affiliated branches of Judaism.

         PURIM AT HCS!

 

 

Purim Carnival - Sunday March 20 from 10:30 - 11:30 AM - This is one of our most popular events in the Hebrew School year. All the children have a blast helping and participating during the carnival.

Purim Megillah Reading - Sunday March 20 at 11:30 AM.   For new and old members, this is a wonderful time to participate in the Megillah reading and have fun at Purim and also eat plenty of Hamentaschen. Don’t forget to pick up your Shalah Manot bag! And DON’T FORGET YOUR COSTUME!

We need volunteers to do the Megillah reading.  The Megillah readings will be in English.

The HCS Sisterhood is hosting a raffle! Assorted gift baskets will be raffled off after the Purim Megilla reading On Sunday, March 20th.

A ticket is $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. You do not have to be at the raffle to win.
