A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT


Dear Congregation,

 Our High Holidays are now behind us. I would first like to thank Rabbi Fred Schwalb and Cantorial Soloist Ruth Ossher for leading such inspirational High Holiday services. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who worked so hard to make the High Holiday services and activities run so smoothly. We look forward to more exciting activities in the coming months.  

On Friday, November 7^th  our service will be honoring the veterans in our community with our monthly Pot Luck and Service. The Pot Luck will begin at 6:30 PM with our local Somers Veterans group supplying all the desserts. So please join us with your favorite dairy dish and beverage for the Pot Luck.

 Our very popular annual Hanukah dinner will be Friday, December 19. This dinner is a wonderful home cooked meal. Sisterhood pulls out all the stops to make this a memorable occasion for you and your family. See this issue of the Shofar for more details.

 As many of you know our Hebrew School is now in full swing. Our children are not only having fun but learning a great deal about Judaism and Israel. Please check with our Principal, Tal Hadani-Pease if you have any questions.
