A MESSAGE
FROM THE PRESIDENT
First, it has been my pleasure to serve as Sisterhood President for the past few years. Our success has been due to all the women who helped create a vibrant Sisterhood. Those women (you know who you are) showed up each month and by sharing our time and efforts made Sisterhood so successful.
Plus, we will continue to work through Sisterhood for our children and the congregants of HCS.
I look forward to each congregational meeting as a time to evaluate how effective we are at our mission to provide a spiritual home for each member. Through your responses to the Hebrew School evaluation, you want your children to learn more about Israel. With Rabbi Fred's help, we hope that is a future project for us to undertake.
Rabbi Fred at present is in Israel to officiate at the Bat Mitzvahs of 2 of our congregants, Hannah Most and Rose Rayner. We wish them Mazel Tov and a wonderful time while abroad. Come back with pictures!!!!
I will be traveling to Israel this summer to experience more of the country and my beautiful extended family in Beit Shemesh. I will be traveling to one of my favorite cities, Safed, and spend a few days with my in-laws and their 8 children and grandchildren camping at the Kinnert. They camp outside, on the beach while my son, Ben, Sara, Naftali and I have found a wonderful apt. to rent nearby with a hot tub, barbeque and TV!
Services will continue throughout the summer and Fred will start his classes on Sundays at Turco's at 10:30 beginning July 11th. I enjoyed them last summer and look forward to them again.
Our need for spiritual comfort at services and Jewish fellowship does not stop during the summer. Please check your e-mails and join us!
